Among Bollywood's highest grossing movie in India- Dhurandhar was released on Netflix on January 30, 2026. Director Aditya Dhar made official announcement on his Instagram handle. After taking the box office by storm, Dhurandhar is expected to break viewership records on OTT as well.
However, after Dhurandhar's OTT Release, fans are not happy with the makers and streaming giant Netflix. Fans have alleged that Netflix has censored multiple dialogues in the movie and released an edited version of the movie even though it is A-rated. Not only this, many fans have outlined that almost 10 minutes of the movie has been cut.
A user wrote, "What's wrong with #Dhurandhar 's Netflix version?! There are nearly 10 minutes reduction in duration and so many scenes look different from theatrical version. Look at this for an example. Thank god watched it 2 times in cinemas!"
Another user wrote, "Watched Entire #Dhurandhar & the censorship is all over the place:
• Baloch word IS MUTED at some places, like desert intro of Sanjay Dutt.
• Baloch word IS NOT MUTED & used normally at Climax when Sanjay Dutt says "Agar mere sath dagabazi ki toh tujhe ran*wa bana dunga"
• All type of abuses are muted EXCEPT SOME..."
One more user wrote, "Why the fu*k Dhurandhar is so heavily censored on Netflix? Despite holding an 'A' (Adults only) rating, the streaming version features muted dialogues — censored swear words, abuses, and in some cases, even crucial dialogues are muted, and approximately 10 minutes of edited (cut scenes) compared to the theatrical.
Who are you trying to please @NetflixIndia ? We are not watching it for free on Doordarshan. Re-release Dhurandhar without any censoring ASAP."
