What happened to Chris DiCesare?

The first 3 episodes of True Haunting are centered around Erie Hall in Geneseo College, located in upstate New York.

It was September 3, 1984, when Chris DiCesare was dropped off there by his father, Vito DiCesare. There, he instantly made a bunch of friends: Craig Norris, Linda Kalasinski, Jeff Ungar, Paul, and more.

Chris intended to compete in the Olympics and was an enthusiastic runner. However, one day he began to be haunted by an invisible force that kept calling his name. His situation continued to worsen, but he finally admitted that he was being haunted when he hurried to Jeff's room to seek assistance after seeing an unidentifiable shape within his own.

It was then, when Ed and Lorraine Warren yes, the real-life couple who solved real-life hauntings whose fictitious versions served as the inspiration for The Conjuring franchise visited Geneseo, when Chris' predicament got relieved.

Notably, when Chris went to shake hands to Lorraine, she refused to do it and it filled him with negativity.

In the end, Chris and his friends believed that there indeed a supernatural presence. It was released that the spirit that was haunting Chris and his friends was of a soldier. He was tortured after being tied to a tree by Native Americans. The tree was near the College from where Chris used to pass by during his morning run.
