The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Lucky Oberoi was shot dead today early in the morning outside a gurdwara in the Model Town area of Jalandhar. As per the reports the entire murder was orchestrated within nine minutes. The CCTV footage that was recorded on the camera installed outside the gurdwara premises reveals that the attackers arrived at the scene at 6:27 AM and left after firing shots at Lucky Oberoi at 7:36 AM.
The footage makes it pretty evident that the attackers arrived with a well thought and clear plan. The CCTV footage shows Lucky Oberoi wearing a white hoodie coming out from the gurdwara after offering prayers at 7:36 AM. In the footage he can be seen walking towards his Thar SUV that was parked outside the gurdwara on the sidewalk.
Following this the assailants can be seen arriving towards his car. Eventually, Lucky Oberoi opens the door of his car and closes it after siting in it. This is when one of the assailants wearing a black hoodie moves towards his car and fires shots at him with a pistol held in both his hands.
Before the attack the assailant can be seen hiding behind a white car that was parked next to the Thar. Within just nine seconds of Lucky Oberoi getting into his car the assailants reached the Thar and opened fired. The attacker took 5 seconds to shoot the AAP leader and then fled the scene. The CCTV footage shows how the nearby public was confused about the series of event that took place.
6:27 AM – The attackers arrive at the scene on a white scooter to kill the AAP leader Lucky Oberoi. Two young men can be seen coming from a lane next to the Gurdwara Model Town. One of the two gets off the scooter and positions himself near Lucky’s parked car.
7:35 AM – The assailant learns about Lucky’s arrival and moves next to his car.
7:36 AM – After Lucky got seated in his car the assailant opened fire on him. Within just 5 seconds he fired multiple rounds and fled the scene.
7:37 AM – The people around seemed to be confused for a while after the incident, later the caretaker of the Gurdwara Sahib went to inspect the Thar and found Lucky lying in the driver’s seat covered in blood.
7:40 AM: Lucky Oberoi was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead by the doctors at 9:30 AM.
A major development has taken place in murder case, as a new post has surfaced online by Joga Pholriwal claiming the responsibility for killing the AAP leader. The post claims that the murder was executed due to personal enmity and also states that Lucky was a drug trafficker and mentions that there are several evidences supporting the claims of his illegal activities.
The post also highlights that the incident actually stems from a dispute over the presidency of Khalsa College. The post further mentions this was a befitting reply to him. As per sources it is being alleged that the one to orchestrate the entire plot was someone who knew Lucky Oberoi and that a through recce was also conducted before the crime was executed.
