All Punjab districts now flood-hit; Check districts list that are worst affected

Punjab Government on Tuesday officially declared that all 23 districts in the state are now affected by flood. Keeping the continuous rainfall and flood in mind, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains extended holidays all in schools, colleges, and universities till September 7.

As per the data, Punjab Floods 2025 death toll has now reached to 30. As per reports, Punjab Chief Secretary KAP Sinha on Tuesday night, the deputy commissioners have been empowered to act on their own in case of any threatening disaster situation. They have been asked to be prepared for emergency responses.

Punjab Flood News

All 23 districts of the state are in the grip of floods and more than 1200 villages have been affected. Along with this, the water level in the Ghaggar river is also continuously increasing. While the water was flowing normally on Monday, by 9 am on Wednesday it reached 7 feet, which is just 1 foot less than the danger mark.

In Mohali too, the district administration has issued an alert and said to be cautious on the banks of Ghaggar river and Sukhna lake.
