Punjab has been battling biting cold in the month of January 2026. Most of its districts are gripped under severe cold. A thick blanket of fog is often witnessed during late night and early morning. Districts like Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Amritsar are witnessing similar freezing weather.

Now, it seems like Punjab Weather is set to change again in the coming days. Multiple districts of Punjab are set to witness upto 2 to 3 days of rainfall next week.

Punjab set to witness rainfall ahead of Republic Day 2026

According to weather website AccuWeather's prediction, multiple districts of Punjab are likely to witness rainfall in the coming days.

Jalandhar is expected to witness rainfall on January 23 and January 25, 2026. There is more than 50 percent chances of rainfall in the district.

Ludhiana is also expected to witness rainfall on January 23 and January 25, 2026. On January 23, there is 56 percent chances of rainfall, while on January 25, there is 65 percent chances of rainfall.

Amritsar is also likely to witness two days of rainfall- January 23 and January 25. There is 80 percent chances of rainfall on January 23, while 55 percent chances of rainfall on January 25.

Kapurthala is expected to witness rainfall on January 23, January 24 and January 25.

Pathankot is expected to witness rainfall on January 23, January 24, January 25, and January 26.
