In a major political turn, the Aam Aadmi Party has announced that the resignation of Anmol Gagan Mann has been rejected, and she will continue her role as an MLA. It is to be noted that Gagan Mann announced that she would quit politics on July 19, and soon after, on July 20, the political alliance rejected it.
The latest decision, the AAP, was announced by the President, Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, and the Cabinet Minister, Punjab.- Aman Arora, who took his official Twitter account, outlined that Anmol Mann’s resignation has not been accepted.
The official social media post by Aman Arora read, “Today, I met @AnmolGaganMann in a family atmosphere. The party decided to reject her resignation as an MLA, which she accepted. I asked them to continue working together for the progress of the party and the constituency”.
He furthermore mentioned, “Anmol was, is, and will remain a part of the family of @ArvindKejriwal ji and @AamAadmiParty.”
Anmol Gagan Maan took to her X handle to announce that she is leaving politics and, therefore, resigning as Kharar MLA. Anmol Gagan Maan was in the Aam Aadmi Party.
In an emotional note, she confirmed that she has submitted her resignation from the Punjab Assembly and requested the Speaker to accept it.
“(Translated Version)My heart is heavy, but I have decided to leave politics. I request the Speaker to accept my resignation from the post of MLA. My best wishes remain with the party. I hope the Punjab Government lives up to the people’s expectations.” Maan said in her statement.
Anmol Gagan Maan, who represented the Kharar constituency, was also a prominent face of the party and served as a Cabinet Minister in the Bhagwant Mann-led government.
However, the main reason behind her decision was not disclosed officially.
