Hockey fans in Punjab can watch the Hero Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026 for free by registering online and obtaining digital entry passes. Hockey India has announced complimentary entry for spectators for the tournament, which will run from October 27 to November 5 in Jalandhar and Mohali.
Fans can book their passes through the Ticketgenie website or mobile application, select the matches they wish to attend and receive a digital entry pass with a QR code. The QR code must be scanned at the venue for entry.
Spectators can follow these steps to register for the matches:
Visit the official Ticketgenie website at www.ticketgenie.in or open its mobile application.
Register on the platform and select the matches they want to watch.
Receive a digital entry pass for the selected fixtures.
Keep the pass ready and scan its QR code at the stadium entrance.
Entry is free, but spectators need to register and obtain a pass for their selected matches. Fans are advised to complete the registration process before arriving at the stadium.
The tournament will feature 20 matches across two venues: Olympian Surjit Singh Hockey Stadium in Jalandhar and Olympian Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium in Mohali.
Jalandhar will host all league-stage matches from October 27 to November 2. The semi-finals and medal matches will be played in Mohali on November 4 and 5.
The free-entry initiative is intended to make international hockey more accessible to the public and encourage families, young players and sports enthusiasts to watch the continent’s leading teams compete.
Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey said the decision was aimed at bringing more supporters into the stands and allowing them to experience top-level international hockey.
“By making entry free for the Hero Asian Champions Trophy Punjab 2026, we hope to bring more supporters to the stands and give them an opportunity to experience the excitement of top-level international hockey,” Tirkey said.
Hockey India Secretary General Bhola Nath Singh also emphasised the importance of connecting more people with the sport, particularly in Punjab, which has a strong hockey tradition.
He said free entry would help families, young players and hockey enthusiasts witness Asia’s best teams in action in Jalandhar and Mohali.
India will begin its campaign against Bangladesh on October 27. The team will then face China on October 29, Japan on October 30, Malaysia on November 1 and South Korea on November 2.
With free entry passes available online, spectators can register for their preferred fixtures and plan their visit to the stadiums in advance.
