

The National Security Act (NSA) imposed on Amritpal Singh has now ended marking an important development in the ongoing case linked to him and Amritpal Singh who is currently lodged in Dibrugarh Jail in Assam who now will be presented in court through video conferencing tomorrow. His appearance will take place in Ajnala court in connection with FIR No. 39 registered at Ajnala police station.
This step has been taken after approval from the Punjab and Haryana High Court which has allowed the Punjab government to include Amritpal Singh in the investigation while he remains in Assam meanwhile Punjab Police has increased its action in the case as a special police team led by a DSP-rank officer has reached Dibrugarh Jail who is preparing to seek Amritpal Singh’s remand during the court hearing so that further investigation can move ahead.
According to Advocate Rituraj Singh Sandhu FIR No. 39 has been registered under Section 307 (attempt to murder) and the case also names Amritpal Singh, his associate Pappalpreet Singh and other accused while the remaining accused have already been presented in court and now proceedings are moving forward in Amritpal Singh’s case. Security and legal agencies are closely monitoring the situation and more developments are expected in the coming days as the investigation continues.
