The email was sent by a group that calls itself "Khalistan National Army" an the message said they would target Punjab Secretariat at some point between 1:11 PM and 3:11 PM. When people in charge got this threat they quickly took action.

Police teams, bomb disposal squads and dog squads all went to Punjab Civil Secretariat in Chandigarh and started checking the place and amped up the security in the premises.

Authorities have not reported finding any suspicious object at any of locations so far ans investigations are currently underway and security agencies are working to verify authenticity of the threats since this is not the first such incident in recent days as government offices, schools and other institutions across Punjab and Chandigarh have been receiving bomb threat emails continuously over past several months.

Notably this is the second bomb threat related incident reported in Jalandhar within a week as just a few days ago Jalandhar District Court Complex also received a bomb threat.

Following that alert police conducted a thorough search of the court premises however no suspicious object was found during the operation and police officials have appealed to public not to panic and to cooperate with security agencies.

Investigations into the latest threat emails are continuing.
