

Multiple private schools of Amritsar on Friday morning received bomb threat on email. Sensing the seriousness of the situation, Amritsar Police were informed by school managements. As a result, Amritsar Police officials rushed to the spot and sealed the area to carry out checking.
On the other hands, students were sent back to their home. Some school management also messaged parents of students to take their children home. Amritsar DC also announced holiday in all schools of Amritsar keeping 'students' safety' in mind.
Now, Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, has revealed that threat email received by schools has turned out to be false. Bhullar also stated that Amritsar Police are now taking local Cyber Police, Punjab's Cyber Cell, Central Agencies' help to crack the case.
CP Bhullar said, "Today morning, schools in Amritsar city and adjoining rural areas some schools received threatening emails. As soon as we received information, our senior officers rushed to the spot. All campuses were secured. Anti-sabotage teams carried out a checking but threats have been found to be false. Still, we secured campuses of all schools.. We remained in touch with school administration. We are taking help of local Cyber Crime Police Station, State Cyber Cell and even Central agencies so that the case can be cracked as soon as possible."
"In the past unfortunately some schools received threatening emails. In that case, students were found involved. So, we hope that we will soon crack this case. I assure citizens, parents and teachers that we will keep everyone secure."
