Some schools in Jalandhar, including Apeejay School and Delhi Public School (DPS), received a threatening email warning of bomb blasts at multiple locations on April 14, prompting authorities to place the administration on high alert.

As per the reports, the email was sent in the name of a group calling itself “Punjab Ul Khalistan.” The message threatened explosions at different locations at specific times, including schools in Jalandhar at 1:11 pm, the Punjab Assembly at 2:11 pm, and Delhi bound trains at 9:11 pm, while also mentioning Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann as one of the prime targets.

In the email, the sender has warned the authorities to remove portraits and statues of B. R. Ambedkar. The mail further included a statement claiming that “the enemies of the Sikhs shall perish” and referred to a “Khalistan referendum.” Following this, security agencies and local authorities were alerted and precautionary measures were initiated, the police officials have stated that the matter is being taken seriously and an investigation is underway to trace the origin of the email.
