
Termed as 'dream project' of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bullet Train News are buzzing among of the people of India. The reason being Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's answer on India Bullet Train completion date.
The Union Railway Minister stated that the bullet train corridor between Vapi and Sabarmati will be completed by December 2027. On the other hand, the entire project from Maharashtra to the Sabarmati section is expected to be completed by December 2029.
As per reports, to build the bullet train track, the government will acquire land in 343 villages of Haryana and Punjab. After its launch, the travel time from Delhi to Amritsar will be reduced to 2 hours.
Reports suggest that the survey work has started to run the bullet train from Delhi to Amritsar in Punjab. The government is planning to acquire land in 343 villages of Haryana and Punjab for the bullet train track.
The government is reportedly going to give 5 times more compensation to the farmers whose land will be acquired in Delhi, Haryana and Punjab.
However, farmers are opposing it at many places, regarding which discussions will be held with the farmers. After the land acquisition work is completed, further work will be done.
With the launch of this bullet train, the speed of travel from New Delhi to Haryana and Punjab will increase. The maximum speed of this bullet train will be 350 km per hour and the average speed will be 250 km per hour.
This train can carry about 750 passengers at a time. Passengers going from Delhi to Amritsar will get maximum convenience with the operation of the bullet train as it will be possible to complete this journey in just 2 hours.
Punjab Bullet Train project is reportedly being built at an estimated cost of Rs 61 thousand crore. The bullet train corridor will be 465 km which will be operated from Delhi.
As per Times Now, Amritsar-New Delhi Bullet Train will cover major stations like- Bahadurgarh, Jhajjar, Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Ambala, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar. There will be a total of 15 stoppages between Delhi and Amritsar, including Chandigarh.
