Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday addressed a press conference. CM Bhagwant Mann held a press conference just a day after being discharged from Fortis Hospital. CM Mann was admitted to hospital after visiting flood-hit areas. Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia informed that CM Mann's pulse dropped to 44 and he suffered electrolyte imbalance.
During the press conference, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann said that 55 deaths have been reported in Punjab Floods till now, out of which families of 42 deceased victims have been compensated.
CM Mann further said that within 40-45 days, officers will visit every house affected, and ensure compensation of damages including houses, livestock.
CM Mann in the press conference further said, "I ordered all DCs where water level has gone down, start assessment from today itself, and ensure compensation is given timely."
CM Mann also assured, "We will make sure transparency is maintained and, every affected individual receives compensation. If needed, compensation amount will be raised."
