

Driver Trapped Inside Cabin, Rescued by SSF With Help of Locals; Shifted to Civil Hospital Phillaur
A major road accident took place on the Goraya National Highway when a truck loaded with CNG cylinders collided with a sand-laden tipper on the bridge near the main chowk. The collision was reportedly intense, leaving the CNG truck severely damaged and its driver trapped inside the cabin.
According to the information, a passerby alerted the Sadak Surakhya Force (SSF) about the accident. Acting swiftly, SSF personnel reached the spot along with their team.
CNG Truck Driver Trapped Inside Cabin
SSF in-charge Sarabjit Singh said that when the team arrived, the driver of the CNG cylinder-loaded truck was trapped inside the damaged cabin. With the assistance of local residents and people present at the spot, the SSF team managed to pull the driver out of the vehicle.
The injured driver was subsequently handed over to an ambulance and shifted to Civil Hospital, Phillaur, where he was taken for medical treatment.
Tipper Driver Claims Truck Hit From Behind
Meanwhile, Sandeep, the driver of the sand-laden tipper, gave his account of the incident. He claimed that the CNG cylinder-loaded truck approached from behind and rammed into his tipper.
The force of the collision reportedly caused damage to the tipper, including a punctured tyre. In comparison, the CNG truck sustained extensive damage, with the front portion of the vehicle badly mangled in the impact.
Exact Cause of Accident Under Investigation
The collision involving a vehicle carrying CNG cylinders also raised concerns at the accident site. SSF personnel and locals responded quickly to ensure that the trapped driver could be safely evacuated.
At present, the exact circumstances leading to the collision are yet to be established. Authorities are investigating the accident to determine how the two vehicles collided and ascertain responsibility for the incident.
