A shocking murder took place in Jalandhar’s Urban Estate Phase-1 on Diwali night after a heated argument between two cousins turned fatal. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Police Station-7.

The victim has been identified as Wushu (36) who was allegedly stabbed to death by his cousin following a dispute. The exact reason behind the altercation is still unclear. According to the police, they are currently investigating what led to the argument and whether any prior enmity existed between the two.

Upon receiving information, a team from Police Station-7 reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The body has been sent to the Civil Hospital for postmortem examination. Station House Officer (SHO) Baljinder Singh confirmed that a case of murder has been registered and further proceedings are underway. “We are trying to determine what the argument was about and how long the dispute had been ongoing,” he added.

The tragic incident has left the local residents in shock, turning the festive night of Diwali into a night of sorrow for the family.
