

In a major development that has sparked both security concerns and political controversy unidentified gunmen reportedly opened fire outside residence of Gurpartap Singh Kang who is the manager of popular Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh and the incident took place in Gonder village of Haryana’s Karnal district around late Monday night and according to media reports the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has claimed responsibility for firing.
Police and security agencies have launched an investigation into the matter and as of now there has been no official confirmation of any injuries or property damage in incident while authorities are trying to verify the authenticity of the social media posts in which the gang allegedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
The alleged claim surfaced through a social media post attributed to Tyson Bishnoi and Arzoo Bishnoi who are said to be linked to Lawrence Bishnoi gang however the authenticity of the viral post has not been verified as of now and no official statement regarding this has been made.
According to the claims made in the post firing outside Gurpartap Kang’s residence was carried out on instructions of Tyson Bishnoi, his brother Arzoo Bishnoi and gangster Hari Boxer and the post alleged that warnings had earlier been issued to Diljit Dosanjh, his manager Sonali and Gurpartap Kang over accusations related to alleged “fake shows” and exploitation by some staff members.
The social media post further made serious allegations regarding an incident during an Australia tour claiming that a young woman from Punjab was allegedly lured with promises of a glamorous future and later mistreated using Diljit Dosanjh’s name however the post itself also stated that Diljit and his immediate team were being given “benefit of the doubt” and may not have been aware of such alleged activities.
Meanwhile the incident has now taken a political turn after several leaders from ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) targeted BJP over the firing incident and Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s alleged involvement and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal reacted strongly on social media platform X and sharing a post related to the matter Kejriwal questioned who was behind the firing outside Diljit Dosanjh’s manager’s house and this post referred to claims that Diljit Dosanjh had allegedly been approached by BJP to join the party and contest Punjab elections which he reportedly refused and the same post further mentioned that Lawrence Bishnoi is lodged in Gujarat’s Sabarmati Jail while his brother Anmol Bishnoi is in Delhi’s Tihar Jail and alleged that no state government is being allowed to interrogate or take them into custody.
Punjab Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh also attacked BJP over the said incident and in a social media statement he alleged that BJP first tried to use Punjab’s biggest artist for political purposes and after refusal Bishnoi gang suddenly attacked residence of Diljit’s manager and further even claimed that BJP government was “protecting” Lawrence Bishnoi inside Gujarat and said that “anti-Punjab face” of BJP had been exposed.
Aam Aadmi Party Chief Spokesperson Baltej Pannu described the firing incident as more than just a coincidence and alleged that Diljit Dosanjh had recently refused an offer to join BJP and shortly afterward a gang allegedly protected by BJP carried out the attack on his manager’s residence, talking further on the issue Pannu accused BJP of trying to intimidate Punjabis through gangsters.
Punjab Cabinet Minister Baljit Kaur also raised similar allegations and in her statement and said the “timeline is in front of everyone” referring to alleged offer made to Diljit Dosanjh, his refusal and subsequent firing incident, she further alleged that gangsters were being used to intimidate Punjabis and accused BJP of shielding Lawrence Bishnoi in Gujarat.
