The district administration has cancelled the licenses of five travel agencies in Jalandhar under the provisions of the Punjab Travel Professionals Regulation Act, 2012.

Additional District Magistrate-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarinder Kaur issued the orders while exercising powers under Section 6(1) of the Act.

According to the information procured, the first cancellation was based on an application filed by Kartarpur resident Kulwinder Bains, seeking the withdrawal of license No. 213/MC-1/MA of M/s Bains Travels, located at Mohalla Arya Nagar, Kartarpur.
