In a shocking development, a man hailing from Karnal (Haryana) on Wednesday tried to enter the holy Golden Temple in Amritsar in an inebriated state. The man who revealed that his name is Gursikh accepted that he drank alcohol in the morning.

It is to be noted that the man tried to enter the Golden Temple on the day when Punjab and entire world is celebrating 556th Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

What happened outside Golden Temple on Gurpurab?

When the drunk man arrived outside the Golden Temple complex in an inebriated state, the people and volunteers present at the scene asked him if he had consumed alcohol.

He replied without hesitation, "Yes, I have drunk alcohol, and I do. Make a video, my Guru is my protector. I drink while wearing a kirpan."

He identified himself as a Gursikh and said he was from Karnal, Haryana, and had been living in Amritsar for the past three months.

As per reports, the man, under the influence of alcohol, began behaving inappropriately. Volunteers present at the scene immediately took action, apprehended him, and expelled him from the sacred complex.

Devotees said that if they had not stopped him in time, he could have gone inside and committed some inappropriate act.

Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu, DCP Amritsar, informed True Scoop that the man was caught outside the Golden Temple and was evicted by the people present there
