A major explosion took place on Wednesday morning in a factory located in Phase-9 of Mohali, Punjab. The explosion was so intense that it cause a lot of damage in the factory and it was also felt in the neighbors.
As per information received, the explosion took place due to several cylinders in the factory.
In the incident, two people died, while many were injured. The police has reached the spot as soon as the information of the incident was received.
The injured are being admitted to the hospital for treatment. The roof of the Oxygen plant has blown off in this incident.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, many officials including SDM, Deputy Mayor have reached the spot and the matter is being investigated.
The reasons for the incident are not yet known. At the same time, the factory owner has also reached the spot.
Talking to the media, the factory owner said that she is with the families injured in the incident. It is being told that oxygen is supplied from this factory to many hospitals including PGI and Sector 32. However, True Scoop cannot independently verify this.
