However, the viral claim is false, the video is from 2024 and shows the funeral of Punjab Police constable Amritpal Singh.

Social media users falsely shared this as Jawanda’s sister mourning him.
On making a fact-check investigation of the viral video there are several discrepancies identified.
Phones were banned at Jawanda’s home: No mobile phones were allowed during the singer’s cremation, making it impossible to record such a clip.
Mismatch in women’s attire: When Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited for condolences, photos released by the CMO showed Jawanda’s female family members in different colored suits from those seen in the viral clip.
Winter clothing visible: In the viral video, women are seen wearing shawls and coats, suggesting it was shot in winter, months before Jawanda’s October funeral.
On further investigation on the video following points can be concluded.
The video is not from Rajveer Jawanda’s funeral. The video is from the cremation of Constable Amritpal Singh. The woman crying in the video is his wife.
The video is traced to March 18, 2024, filmed during the funeral of Punjab Police Constable Amritpal Singh from Jandor village, Dasuha (Hoshiarpur district).
Constable Amritpal was martyred in an encounter with gangster Rana Mansoorpuria a day earlier.
His body was cremated with full state honors, and it was during this ceremony that his wife’s emotional remarks were recorded.
The viral clip being shared as footage from Rajveer Jawanda’s funeral is misleading.
It actually shows the 2024 funeral of Police Constable Amritpal Singh. The woman in the video is his widow, not Rajveer Jawanda’s sister.
Hence this can be stated that the old video is falsely linked to Rajveer Jawanda’s death.
