Fortis takes over Jalandhar’s leading hospital in major healthcare move; Know which one
In a major development, Fortis Healthcare Limited (FHL) has announced that it has taken over a major hospital of Jalandhar. The name of the hospital which is now under Fortis is Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital.
Fortis has outlined that Shrimann Superspeciality Hospital has 228-bed, accredited by NABH and NABL, is now a part of the Fortis network. It is equipped with four operation theatres, one cath lab, ECMO, CRRT, EBUS facilities, and a 28-bed ICU unit, offering advanced medical treatment and critical care.
The hospital is said to be empanelled with ECHS, CGHS, Northern Railways, Central Armed Police Forces, and other leading TPAs.
As per the Medical Buyer Report, FHTL has acquired the entire business operations, hospital building of Shrimann Hospital, as well as the underlying hospital land. In addition, an adjunct land parcel for possible future expansion is also being acquired.
Reports further suggest that the transaction is an all-cash deal for an overall purchase consideration of approximately INR 462 Crores (excluding stamp duty and other regulatory costs).
