A major explosion took place at a grocery shop in Om Nagar, Dharuhera, after a gas cylinder exploded while LPG was allegedly being transferred from a large commercial cylinder to a smaller one. The incident left four young men seriously injured and triggered panic in the surrounding area as residents rushed out after hearing the loud blast.
Identification of the injured
The injured have been identified as Abhay, Vinay, Chandan, and Pintu. According to initial reports, all four are employed with different private companies. They were present at the shop when the explosion occurred. The force of the blast caused chaos in the locality, prompting nearby residents to gather at the scene and assist the victims before emergency services arrived.
Assistance from the team
Soon after receiving information about the incident, a team from the Sector-6 Police Station reached the spot. With the assistance of local residents, the injured were shifted in an ambulance to the Government Hospital in Rewari for medical treatment. Their exact condition has not yet been officially disclosed.
Illegal transfer of LPG
Preliminary investigations suggest that LPG was being transferred illegally from a large cylinder into smaller cylinders inside the grocery shop. During the transfer process, one of the cylinders suddenly exploded, resulting in the powerful blast. Police investigation
Sector-6 Station House Officer (SHO) Sachin Kundu said that the police responded immediately after receiving information about the explosion and ensured that the injured were taken to the hospital without delay. He added that an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the blast.

Police are also examining whether the gas transfer operation was being carried out in violation of safety norms and legal regulations. Officials are expected to inspect the shop and gather evidence to ascertain if negligence or unauthorized practices contributed to the accident.
