A Railway Police (GRP) Assistant Sub-Inspector was shot at by three unidentified men near Jagdev Kalan village in Amritsar on Sunday evening. The officer, identified as Sukhchain Singh, sustained a gunshot injury to his left arm after the attackers allegedly opened fire at him.

The bullet reportedly passed through his arm. He was taken to a hospital by his family and is currently stated to be in stable condition.

ASI intercepted while returning home

According to preliminary information, Sukhchain Singh is posted with the GRP at Amritsar railway station. He was returning home on his motorcycle after completing his duty when the incident took place.
