The initiate against drugs taken by the Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by launching the ‘Yudh Nashian Virush’ campaign has now entered its phase two. The Punjab Health Minister Dr. Balbir Singh reviewed the ongoing marches that are taking place in villages under ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh 2.0’. During this, the Health Minister has advocated for a comprehensive campaign against drugs and also highlighted the need for promoting skill development programs for the rehabilitation of drug addicts.

The Deputy Commissioners were instructed to collaborate with the ITIs, NGOs, and industries so that everything is handled smoothly. Talking further about the Mann government’s initiative against drugs, the Health Minister says that the government aims to integrate the individuals who are currently recovering from drug addiction into the mainstream society. And, to do that the government is preparing to equip them with employment-oriented skills.
