Widespread disruption continued at the Amritsar International Airport since Monday as dozens of passengers were once again left stranded due to sudden IndiGo flight cancellations.

Some holidaymakers got cancellation alerts only once they’d arrived at the terminal - leaving almost no chance to sort out new plans. Sudden changes like these have annoyed lots of flyers, since work meetings, trips, or family events suddenly fell apart.

Passengers flying with the carrier say there’s a serious pilot and crew shortfall - causing constant flight cutbacks lately. Some passengers mentioned showing up at the terminal every day, just waiting for news, yet hearing nothing solid from the company about when things’ll get fixed or how refunds will work. Without straight answers, the mess made trips even more frustrating.

One soldier had to go on duty in Tripura but got stuck. Missing his start date felt wrong, he said - delays like this mess up real work people must do. A different traveler, Tushar, headed to Bengaluru, mentioned losing money and feeling stressed. “Only knew once I arrived at the terminal. Nothing’s clear anymore,” he explained.

Travelers from Karnataka headed to Amritsar for a meeting got stuck there - flights were called off. Because of this, going back home through Delhi turned way more expensive than planned. Now they’re covering extra charges on their own. One big hit was paying ₹20,000 upfront just to book a car.

In a different case, Ravneet Singh from Yamunanagar mentioned he wanted to reach Udaipur but got to the airport just to find out many flights were scrapped. Had they told him sooner, he’d have taken a bus instead. On the flip side, Dr Dinesh, visiting Amritsar from Tamil Nadu for a medical meet-up, explained that higher prices on backup flights are now messing up his trip back.

The growing count of impacted travelers made backlash against IndiGo’s leadership spread faster. Folks want updates on time, honest details, better rules for refunds - also someone owning up after constant breakdowns. A lot said the company didn’t step up with communication; its silence worsened chaos, leaving crowds stuck and anxious. Flight cutbacks rolled into yet another day, while flyers pushed regulators along with airline staff to act now before things get messier.
