Is flood threat in Punjab over?

The answer is no for the time being. As per reports, the situation is still serious due to floods in Punjab. Water of Ravi and Sutlej has risen in many villages of Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Ferozepur. Many villages of Amritsar are in the grip of floods.

IMD has also issued a nowcast and alerted for moderate rainfall in over parts of Mansa, Sangrur, Barnala. In another nowcast, the IMD on Thursday further alerted about moderate rainfall in- Mansa, Sangrur, Barnala, Patiala, Bathinda, Ludhiana, Moga.

Union Agriculture Minister on Punjab visit today

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal are coming today to take stock of the situation in Punjab.
