A government holiday has been declared across Punjab on June 29, 2026 on account of Kabir Jayanti and as a result all government offices, educational institutions and public sector organisations will remain closed on Monday.
According to the official holiday calendar released earlier by the Punjab Government’s Personnel Department (Personnel Policy-3 Branch) June 29 has been listed as a gazetted holiday and the notification confirming the holiday had already been issued in advance.
Due to the holiday government and private schools and colleges across the state will also remain shut and all government institutions will remain closed. Authorities have clarified that while regular services will be suspended due to the holiday essential services will continue to function as per standard arrangements.
