Jalandhar Police Commissioner Satinder Singh has ordered a major reshuffle of police station in-charges across the city, with several inspectors and sub-inspectors transferred to new postings. The transfer order was issued on September 19, 2026, with immediate effect.
Several police stations get new in-charges
According to the transfer order issued from the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, Inspector Jaspal Singh, who was serving as SHO of Police Station Rama Mandi, has been transferred to Police Station Division No. 1 as its SHO.
At the same time, Inspector Surinder Kumar, who was posted as in-charge of the CIA, has been appointed as the new SHO of Police Station Rama Mandi.
Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar, who was earlier serving as SHO of Police Station Division No. 1, has been transferred to Police Station Division No. 8, where he will take charge as SHO.
Navi Baradari also sees change
Inspector Sahil Chowdhary, who was the SHO of Police Station Division No. 8, has been transferred to Police Station Navi Baradari as SHO.
His predecessor, Inspector Ravinder Kumar, has been removed from the SHO posting and attached with the DCP Special Branch, Jalandhar.
The order also includes a change at Police Station Division No. 3. Inspector/LR Jagdish Kumar, who was posted at Police Station Division No. 5, has been transferred and appointed as SHO of Division No. 3.
Officers directed to join immediately
The official order states that the officers have been transferred on administrative grounds with immediate effect. They have been directed to be relieved from their existing postings and report at their new places of posting immediately.
The reshuffle covers six officers and affects police stations including Division No. 1, Division No. 3, Division No. 8, Rama Mandi and Navi Baradari, along with the CIA and DCP Special Branch.
The order was issued under the authority of Satinder Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, and circulated to concerned police officials and branches for compliance.
