Sh. Manmohan Singh, ACP Model Town, Jalandhar, provided information regarding an incident of alleged cash theft from a shopkeeper’s car near Shri Guru Nanak Mission Chowk, falling under Police Station Division No. 6, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar.
As per the information received, Vishal Kundra was travelling from Shri Guru Nanak Mission Chowk towards Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Chowk when his car collided with another vehicle on the way. Following the collision, the occupants of the other vehicle allegedly engaged in an argument with him, removed the key from his car and threw it away.
According to the complainant, during the same incident, the individuals allegedly took cash from a bag kept inside his car and subsequently fled the spot.
Taking the matter seriously, Commissionerate Police Jalandhar has constituted police teams to investigate the incident. CCTV footage from the surrounding area is being examined, while technical investigation and human intelligence are also being utilised to identify and trace the suspects.
Police teams are working diligently and the accused will be identified and appropriate legal action will be taken at the earliest.
