In a latest turn, City of Jalandhar witnessed a violation of traffic laws when a tipper truck was spotted speeding from the Bus Stand Flyover towards BSF Chowk with a torn tire and no number plate. Eyewitnesses captured the incident on camera, raising serious concerns about road safety and police vigilance.

It remains unclear whether the driver was fleeing the scene of an accident. However, the dangerous condition of the vehicle with a burst tire and visible imbalance posed a serious threat to other road users who were driving along.

Locals expressed frustration, stating that while traffic police are busy issuing online challans to the general public for minor violations, tipper trucks without registration numbers roam freely. Shockingly, despite regular police checkpoints at BSF Chowk, no action was taken.

Residents suspect that these vehicles evade detection as traffic cameras fail to capture numberless vehicles. They also accuse the police of waiting for another major accident to take place before taking any action. Just two days ago, a fatal accident near PAP Chowk involved a Thar and an Activa, resulting in the death of a 70-year-old former village head and a fire outbreak in the Thar.
