Punjabi Jagriti Manch is organizing a "Maa Boli Punjabi March" from Lyallpur Khalsa School, Nakodar Road, today. The march began at Lyallpur Khalsa School, Nakodar Road, and will pass through Dr. BR Ambedkar Chowk, Bhagwan Valmiki Chowk, Company Bagh, Namdev Chowk, and conclude at the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Hall. Reportedly, Punjabi singer Mankirt Aulakh and other singers are also going to participate in this march. During the march, 150 Commissionerate Police personnel will be deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow. As per reports, traffic will be completely closed on the decided route for three hours.
The Commissionerate Police has prepared a separate route plan to ensure no inconvenience to the public. Joint Commissioner Sandeep Sharma, ADCP Headquarters Sukhwinder Singh, ADCP Vineet Ahlawat, ACP Kamlesh Kaur, ACP Parminder Singh, and SHOs from Police Stations 2, 4, and Model Town will also be present.
