The Jullundur Gymkhana Club has dissolved its present Executive Committee after its tenure came to an end. The club elections will now be held on August 23, 2026.
Until the new Executive Committee is elected, an Ad Hoc Committee has been formed to ensure the smooth functioning of the club's day-to-day affairs and the committee will take charge with immediate effect.
Tejdeep Saini, PCS, ACA, Jalandhar Development Authority, has been appointed as Administrator-cum-Honorary Secretary of the Ad Hoc Committee.
The other members of the committee are: Aditya Gupta, PCS, SDM Shahkot, Amarjit Singh Rana, Kanav Nanda, Parveen Gupta, Sameer Marwaha, Subhash Sharma, Jaspreet Singh.
According to the order, the Administrator-cum-Honorary Secretary will assign duties to the committee members as required.
The elections were originally expected much earlier this year, earlier, the AGM had been scheduled for March 14, and the election date was also expected to be announced during that meeting, however, the AGM was postponed after Divisional Commissioner Ramvir was occupied with the Punjab Investment Summit.
The previous management elections were held in March 2024. During those elections, the Achievers Group recorded a strong performance where Amit Kukreja won the post of Junior Vice President by a record margin of 718 votes, while Saurabh Khullar was elected Treasurer and Anu Matta won the post of Joint Secretary, however, the post of Secretary was won by Sandeep Kukki Behl, who defeated Achievers Group candidate Tarun Sikka by a narrow margin.
