Punjabi singer Karan Aujla has finally returned to India. Karan Aujla's return to India has raised many eyebrows as the Punjabi singer has been embroiled in a legal controversy.
As per reports, Karan Aujla arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai late on Monday evening. Notably, the Tauba Tauba singer has been asked to appear before Punjab Women's Commission and give an explanation over objectionable lyrics in his newly released song 'MF Gabhru!'.
Notably, after legal notice from PWC, Aujla is said to have changed the lyrics of the song.
Karan Aujla was due to appear before Punjab Women's Commission on August 11. However, neither he nor rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh appeared before it.
Punjab Women's Commission Chairperson Lali Gill on Monday addressed a press conference and informed that both Karan Aujla and Honey Singh have talked to her personally and they are 'very sorry' for using objectionable lyrics in their songs.
Lali further said that both the singers are currently abroad. Karan Aujla and Yo Yo Honey Singh said on the phone that whenever they come to India, they will go to the commission's office and apologise. However, they have asked for seven more days.
At the same time, an official from Punjab Police reached the commission and also submitted its report. The official said that the lawyers of both the singers will present their side soon.
