An important meeting was held today regarding the long-pending issue related to approximately 7 acres of land in Ambedkar Nagar. The meeting was made possible through the efforts of Jalandhar Central in-charge Nitin Kohli and was attended by Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Aggarwal, Mayor Vaneet Dhir, Municipal Corporation Jalandhar Commissioner Sandeep Rishi, the Joint Commissioner and other senior officials.
Senior officials from the electricity department were also present in the meeting and held detailed discussions on the Ambedkar Nagar issue. During the deliberations, it was highlighted that a permanent and fair solution is necessary for the poor and hardworking families who have been residing on the land for nearly 50 years.
It was also discussed that the Municipal Corporation could provide alternative land to the electricity department in exchange, which may help resolve the dispute over the Ambedkar Nagar land and provide legal security to the residents of the area.
Following the meeting, there is growing hope that with the joint efforts of all departments and the consistent initiative taken by Nitin Kohli, a concrete and lasting solution to this 50-year-old issue affecting the residents of Ambedkar Nagar could soon be achieved.
Nitin Kohli stated that his aim is not only to raise issues but also to ensure practical solutions for the people. He emphasized that ensuring basic facilities, legal security and better infrastructure across every locality of Jalandhar Central remains his priority, and reaching a fair and sustainable solution for the residents of Ambedkar Nagar is an important part of his development vision.
