Popular Punjabi singer Khan Saab has left fans emotional after sharing a heartfelt video and post on Instagram following the deaths of his mother and father. In the video, Khan Saab is seen washing his parents’ feet and drinking that water, a symbolic gesture expressing deep respect and devotion.
Sharing the video, the singer wrote, “I know this act goes against the principles of Islam. But my parents were everything to me they were, are, and will always be my world.”
Khan Saab further said that he has no regret about what he did, adding, “I fulfilled the old saying that one should wash and drink the water from their parents’ feet. I feel no shame in that.”
He also reflected on a past incident, saying, “Once, my mother called me while I was offering namaz. I stopped praying midway to give her medicine. May Allah forgive me, but for me, my parents come before everything.”
Tagging fellow artist Kamal Khan, Khan Saab urged others to respect their parents while they are still alive. “Many people don’t value their parents until they’re gone. I lost both of mine within a month my mother on September 26 and my father on October 13. Those who still have them should treasure every moment.”
Khan Saab’s mother, Salma Parveen, passed away on September 26 after a prolonged illness at a private hospital in Ludhiana. Just weeks later, his father, Iqbal Mohammad, died of a heart attack on October 13. The double loss has left the singer devastated.
His post has since gone viral, drawing both emotional and spiritual reactions from fans, who called his gesture “heart-touching” and “a reminder of unconditional parental love.”
