In a major political development Raghav Chadha has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and now he has claimed that more senior leaders from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will soon follow his footsteps.
According to statements made at a press conference in New Delhi, Sandeep Pathak and Ashok Mittal have also joined the BJP along with Chadha and calling it a significant shift Chadha claimed that nearly two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs have now exited the party.
“I was the right man in the wrong party” Chadha said adding that leaders like Harbhajan Singh, Rajinder Gupta, Vikram Sahney and Swati Maliwal are also part of the group taking the total number of MPs joining the BJP to seven and he further announced that they have formally submitted papers to merge with the BJP to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. The situation marks a significant political shake-up with more developments expected in the coming days.
