Tomorrow, January 15, the Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann will appear before the Akal Takht secretariat after he was summoned by the officiating Akal Takht Jathedar Kuldip Singh Gargaj. Responding to the summons the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann took to his X handle and posted, “I will appear before Akal Takht barefoot as a humble Sikh, and not as a CM”.
As per the reports, the Jathedar of Akal Takht had given a statement to the media claiming that the CM was summoned because allegedly the CM had made certain statements that were disrespectful and insulting to the Sikh community. He further alleges that the CM has made uncalled-for remarks for ‘Guru Ki Golak’ which were against the Sikh principles.
The Chief Minister has affirmed through his X handle that he has no other engagements for January 15 and has his schedule completely dedicated for his appearance at the Akal Takht secretariat.
