Security preparations have been amped up in the light of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Jalandhar on January 16. The President will land at the Sri Ramdas Ji International Airport, in Amritsar. As per reports, the President is set to visit Amritsar on January 15 and Jalandhar on January 16.
The reason of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to Jalandhar is said to be the convocation ceremony that is set to take place in NIT, Jalandhar. On January 16, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT) is going to host their 21st convocation. The President is scheduled to take part in this event.
Prior to this, the President is also set to attend the Golden Jubilee Convocation of Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), in Amritsar on January 15. The security arrangements are being monitored closely in order to ensure smooth procurement of the events.
