Lucky Oberoi murder case: CCTV trail marks servant as key suspect

A CCTV footage of the shooter on an Activa scooter and a Creta car being driven by the servant has surfaced that is linked to the murder probe.

A new update has surfaced in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Satwinder Pal Singh alias Lucky Oberoi case who was murdered yesterday (Friday) outside a gurdwara in Jalandhar’s Model Town. As per reports, Lucky Oberoi’s house servant has been missing since the incident and his phone remains switched off.

Now a CCTV footage of the shooter on an Activa scooter and a Creta car being driven by the servant has surfaced that is linked to the murder probe. It is being alleged that Lucky’s servant, identified as Shingri, had conducted recce and carried out the crime in collaboration with the accused. Allegedly, Lucky had beaten Shingri for drug use and Shingri harboring resentment, committed this crime.  

Sources indicate that the police have identified the Activa scooter that was used in the crime. The police probe that was conducted using the CCTV footages revealed that the Activa belonged to Shingri. It was revealed that after committing the crime the accused fled towards Mithapur. Later, Shingri was seen disposing off the Activa and leaving in a Creta car. As of now, the police have been unable to recover the Activa and currently an active search is underway.

As per the information received so far, Joga has been named as the suspect who orchestrated the entire murder plot with the help of Sonu Khatri gang. Amid the absence of the servant since the crime took place, police’s suspicion has been growing. The authorities are currently pursuing the investigation from all the possible angles. The servant has been spotted in several CCTV footage recordings, and in one of them he was seen riding a Creta car.

Upon tracing the car’s owner, it was revealed that the vehicle belonged to car dealer Kalra, who has been lodged in Tihar jail in connection with a car theft case. The dealer was questioned in jail and it was revealed that the car was sold to someone named Arora. Arora further reveals that he had brought the car with a bank loan, but needed money, so he had mortgaged it to Lucky for a month in exchange of Rs 2.40 lakh. Lucky’s staff informed the police that their servant had taken the car and told Lucky that he would use it for a while. Now, the CCTV that has been surfacing online shows Lucky’s servant in the Creta car along with the shooter.
