Trouble seems to be mounting on Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu, wife of former cricketer-turned politician- Navjot Singh Sidhu. After getting suspended by Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC), a legal notice has been sent to Navjot Kaur Sidhu.

Former Deputy CM of Punjab and current Gurdaspur MP- Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa has sent a legal notice to Navjot Kaur Sidhu demanding an unconditional apology.

Sukhi Randhawa in his legal notice has given Navjot Kaur Sidhu 7 days time to issue an apology. Randhawa has warned that if she fails to do so, a criminal defamation proceedings will start against her.

Notably, Randhawa was one of the multiple Punjab Congress leaders who were slammed by Navjot Kaur Sidhu. In a TV interview, Dr. Sidhu had alleged that Randhawa had links sold tickets for money in Rajasthan and helped defeat the Congress in election.

On Navjot Kaur Sidhu's allegations that Rs 500 crore cash must be given to become Punjab CM from Congress party, Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa said, "It is unfortunate that she made this remark. She should first tell how much was paid for the post of PCC President..."

"She did not speak a word for 3.5 years while the Congress workers struggled in the state and started making these statements when elections are nearing... Why did she not campaign for Congress when Priyanka Gandhi went to the constituency of CM Bhagwant Mann? This was party indiscipline. Such people, and not anyone else in Punjab, pose a threat to the party."
