A family dispute involving the Nooran sisters has taken a serious turn in Jalandhar with multiple audio clips going viral and a police complaint now filed and here is a simple breakdown of the events that have taken place so far:
Renowned Sufi singer Gulshan Meer is currently admitted to a kidney hospital and is waiting for a kidney transplant and according to the family the treatment has already cost a large amount of money and further expenses are expected.
An audio clip shared by Sahil has gone viral on social media and in this recording an unidentified person allegedly Jyoti Nooran is heard asking Sahil not to share photos of Gulshan Meer or post payment details online and the person says that sharing such content is disturbing their family life and requests Sahil to stay out of the matter. Sahil responds by saying that his own family life has been disturbed for the past three years and questions why his name is being dragged into the issue.
During the call the unidentified person also warns Sahil that if he shares the recording with others he may face harm and after this warning the call ends.
The controversy grew after Ritu Nooran shared a post online asking for financial help for their father’s treatment and she had also posted a payment scanner to collect funds after which some people objected to the post and asked for it to be removed and at the same time other singers and members of the public came forward to offer support.
Following these developments Ritu Nooran along with her mother and brother went to the police station and filed a complaint against Usman and the complaint is mainly about the viral posts and alleged harassment. Police officials have said that Usman will be called for questioning soon.
Ritu said that the family has already spent all their money on treatment and also stated that she had been trying to contact her sisters including Jyoti Nooran and Sultana Nooran for the past few months but they did not visit and she adds that she stayed silent for a long time but decided to speak out after the situation worsened and also said that the identity and success of the Nooran sisters are because of their father Gulshan Meer.
At present the matter remains a family dispute but has now become public due to viral audio clips and social media posts and with police involvement and serious allegations from both sides the situation continues to develop.
