An accident took place on the Bathinda National Highway in Malout where an auto-rickshaw collided with a Swift car. As per reports, nearly 11 people have been injured in the accident, who have been admitted to Malout Government Hospital and are currently undergoing treatment. It is being reported that among the injured there were two Nepalis and eight Kashmiris who worked as waiters at a local palace. Reportedly, all of them were coming towards the city from a palace on Bathinda Road in an auto-rickshaw, when it collided with a Swift car and overturned.
The Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF) was informed about the incident and they reached the spot to tend to the wounded passengers. An officer from the Sadak Suraksha Force (SSF) informed that the accident took place on Bathinda road near Sky Mall. It was confirmed that no loss of life was reported in the accident, and the injured are being looked after.
One of the injured sharing details about the accident says that a total of fifteen people was traveling in the auto-rickshaw including the driver, when an over speeding Swift car coming from wrong side collided with them. He shares that his leg, neck and shoulder have been injured and he also lost two teeth in the accident. He shares some of his fellow passengers have been severely injured who are receiving aid.
