Police conducted a raid at the Grand Spa Centre located on Garha Road, under Police Station 7. During the operation, several men and women were detained and taken to the police station. According to reports, around 8 to 10 women and 4 to 6 men were detained during the raid.
Repeated complaints about the spa centres
The police had reportedly been receiving complaints about spa centres operating in the area for quite some time. The authorities had allegedly received information that illegal prostitution was being carried out under the guise of a spa centre. Acting on a tip-off, the police team raided the centre and detained several men and women.
Future raids possible as well
Sources said that police may conduct raids at other spa centres in the area as well. However, officials have so far declined to comment on the raid at Grand Spa Centre.

The police action has reportedly caused concern among other spa centres in the area. Earlier too, police had conducted raids at several spa centres on Garha Road. Despite these actions, allegations of illegal activities continuing at some establishments have surfaced.
