

The 117th Executive Board Meeting of Hockey India was held at its headquarters in New Delhi under the leadership of Hockey India President Dilip Kumar Tirkey, bringing together key decision-makers to chart the future course of Indian hockey.
A significant portion of the meeting was devoted to discussions on the upcoming Asian Hockey Championship proposed to be held in Punjab between October 5 and October 27. The board undertook a comprehensive review of preparations, focusing on strategic coordination, infrastructure readiness, and adherence to international standards for hosting the prestigious tournament.
Hockey Punjab President and Hockey India Vice President Nitin Kohli actively participated in the deliberations and contributed valuable inputs on planning, coordination, and execution strategies to ensure the successful conduct of the championship.
Prominent members present at the meeting included Bhola Nath Singh, Sekar J Manoharan, S.V.S. Subramanya Gupta, Aarti Singh, Sunil Malik, Manoj Bhore, and Firoz Ansari, among others.
The Executive Board reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the sport at all levels and ensuring India’s continued leadership in Asian and global hockey through professional governance and world-class event execution.
