In a major development, Department of Home Affairs in Punjab Government on Friday announced promotions in the Punjab Police. As per the official order, 2001 batch IPS officer Kaustubh Sharma IPS has been promoted to the rank of Additional Director General of Police.
Furthermore, 12 IPS officers have been promoted to Deputy Inspector General of Police-rank. Most of the officers are from 2011 and 2012 batch. For example- Snehdeep Sharma, Sandeep Goel, Jasdev Singh Sandhu, etc.
4 IPS officers of Punjab have been promoted to Inspector General of Police (IGP) rank. IPS officers- Jagadale Nilambari Vijay, Rahul S, Bikram Pal Singh Bhatty, Rajpal Singh are on the list who are promoted to IGP rank.
