The Punjab government, under Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has taken a major step to strengthen public safety and law enforcement by launching 508 Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) under the Dial 112 project.
The Chief Minister will flag off the fleet from Ladda Kothi in Sangrur, marking a significant initiative aimed at improving emergency response across the state.
These vehicles will be deployed across all 28 police districts of Punjab, ensuring faster and more efficient assistance during emergencies. Citizens dialing 112 will receive immediate help, with ERVs reaching the location promptly.
Each vehicle is equipped with advanced technology, including mobile data terminals and smartphones to ensure seamless communication and coordination. Additionally, the ERVs feature dash cameras, wireless systems, GPS trackers, and other modern tools to enhance operational efficiency.
After flagging off the vehicles, the Chief Minister is scheduled to address the people of Punjab, reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining peace, safety, and a robust law-and-order system across the state.
