Punjab on Saturday on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan 2025 will become India's first state to have its own anti-drone system. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal will launch the anti-drone system in Tarn Taran today.

The need for anti-drone system in Punjab has become serious especially Punjab as a few months back, Pakistan targeted India's bordering states with drones. Although India's impeccable air-defense system shot down almost all Pakistani drones, it certainly outlined the importance of having anti-drone system.

Notably, smuggling of drugs via drones from Pakistani sides is also among serious issue Punjab has been dealing with.

Hence, anti-drone system will curb the smuggling of drugs and weapons coming through the borders.
