People across the world welcomed the new year with firework and festivities. However, a dispute was reported on the new year's eve at Eastwood and Royal King Resort. Reportedly, the Royal King Resort had organized an event with an entry fees of Rs 700. The ruckus erupted over the entry charges. A person claimed that despite paying Rs 2,500 he was denied entry. Attendees claim that initially the price of the passes were set at Rs 700 only, however later the prices were surged, with added food charges.

Later, around 11 PM, the attendees were asked to leave as the program was being cut short.

Eyewitnesses also report, that minors were being served alcohol. They further allege that the program, organized by Lovely, some other people from Haryana, other places, was scheduled to take place from 7 PM to 1 AM. However, the celebrations, including DJ were shut down mid-way abruptly.

One person claimed that he had spent 12-13 thousand rupees on the program.

Later, when the police arrived on scene it was discovered that no prior permit was obtained in order to host the program. Currently an investigation is underway into the matter.

Serious allegations have surfaced against the Royal King Resort regarding the entry fees. People claim that the resort has defrauded them by charging them Rs 1500. They claim that these charges were supposed to include food expenses as well, however that was not the case as they were not provided with the promised facilities.

DSP Bharat Bhushan stated that neither the manager nor any senior staff member was present at the scene, other staff members have been asked to submit relevant documentation to the police.

Police assured that the matter is under investigation an if any objectionable items or evidence of alcohol being served to minors is found appropriate action will be taken.
