7 districts of Punjab namely- Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Fazilka, Kapurthala's Sultanpur Lodhi and Hoshiarpur are currently witnessing devastating flood. The water level of Ravi is continuously rising in Punjab. In Amritsar, this water has now reached close to the town of Ajnala. By late Friday night, the water had reached close to Harar Kalan village.

Amid the floods, Punjabi singer Satinder Sartaaj has sent one month's ration for 500 families in Amritsar. Amritsar Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney gave the rations to the volunteers of her team and asked them to ensure that the relief material reaches those in need.

Reports suggest that Satinder Sartaaj also provided ration to the flood affected people in Fazilka.

Notably, Satinder Sartaaj grabbed headlines a few days back, when he won Filmfare Punjabi Awards 2025 for Best singer.

Other Punjabi stars also join flood relief

Apart from Satinder Sartaaj, other Punjabi stars have also stepped up in the time of crisis.

Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi spent the whole day in the flood-affected areas on Friday and helped the people in every possible way. Jassi has also appealed to the people to contribute to the relief work according to their capacity instead of only depending on the administration.
