
Punjab Water Resources Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal on Tuesday announced that flood control rooms across the state are operational 24x7 to provide immediate assistance to people during emergency situations. He appealed to citizens to make use of the helpline numbers in case of any exigency.

“These control rooms are equipped with modern communication systems and are being manned by trained staff to coordinate rescue and relief operations efficiently,” said Goyal. He further added that the state government has already implemented robust flood mitigation measures and preparedness protocols to tackle any potential emergency situation.
The minister appealed to citizens to remain alert and contact the nearest district flood control room in case of any untoward incident.
